Where have I Been?????

OK everyone...so sorry I haven't written for so long. It was a depressing winter. As most of you know, the boys and I lost many dates at Bally's (including the Beach Bar) and at Harrah's. That took its toll on all of us. I do want to thank all of you who took the time to write an email on our behalf to the folks at Harrah's. It means a lot to me and to the boys that you hold us in such high regard. The customer relations department, seeing the emails coming in containing the same subject, decided to create an automated response in order not to have to deal with the problem anymore. I'm sure they are happy that the emails stopped coming. Again, I appreciate your efforts.

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope your holidays went smoothly and you were safe and happy. A lot has happened since I touched base last. We had a great night on New Year's at the Trump Marina. It was a disco theme and yours truly was dressed like John Travolta from Saturday Night Fever. We have some pics if I ever get around to updating the site. Lots of laughs all around. The great Kathy Fowler (Wilson, for those of you who used to hang at Billy's Pub in the old days of AC) was singing with us and she sounded just great. Doing Donna Summer as good as Donna ever did. She'll be with us at Ego in January, so come and check it out. We lost some gigs, Philadelphia Park will see us no more and Bally's Blue Martini is changing band policy as well, but we still have some dates there. Keep an eye on the calendar for updates. The skinny on the boys is as follows....Big Rick has a new day gig, Frankie is a teaching fool, and we're still rotating saxmen, but the "O" is doing great in grad school (playing a lot of flute with us on stage as well.) The sad news is that Bob's Dad passed away over the Xmas holiday. We're all very sorry, he was a wonderful man and we'll miss him. Me? Oh, I'm still standin....what's better than Rock & Roll!!!! Come and see us soon. The best to all of you for 2008.

Summer's over! How was it for everyone. We played all over the place and had a blast as usual. I'm sure the boys are happy for a little break. Especially Darren Lucis, crackman, oops, I mean saxman extrordinaire. who I told would get prominent mention in the next news article. All kidding aside, it's always a pleasure to have the D-man on the stage with us, as he will be for the last hurrah at the Bikini Bar this Sunday. Those of you who became "O" fans will be happy to know that he has returned from his foray into the north country and will be showing up on stage with us again here and there. We do want to give a shout out to all the nice folks we met this summer at Philadelphia Park and Delaware Park. Look for us at both venues in the fall. I guess that's it for now. See you all soon and thanks for supporting us throughout the summer of '07.
Monday, May 7th, 2007 8:50 PM EDT
We are sad this writing everyone, because "the O" has played his final gig with us for a time. Those of you who see us on a regular basis have grown to know the funky baritone . Owen from Rowen. We've been working with him for the past year. We met Owen when we called Dennis DeBlasio at Rowen College to give us some names for a gig we were starting at the Ego Lounge at the Taj Mahal last summer. He has been a great addition to the boys and surely has grown into our way of rockin and funkin! He is heading out to sea to cruise Alaska for four months.
'Owen from Rowen is goin rowin! We wish him the best. Come home soon brother. The boys and I will miss you.

Hello everyone. I haven't been keeping up with the news blurbs recently. I admit that i've been a bit lazy, but all is well in AC. The boys and I just performed at the Hamson House Benefit at Harrah's on wednesday night. What a fine show. For those of you who made it, it was a night of musical magic. Some of the best performers that no longer perform on the stages of Atlantic City showed they still have the gift. The boys and I opened the show with a tune some of you have heard us perform called "Unity"
It got things rolling. It was so good to be with these veteran performers on stage again. What a damn shame that the powers that be only hear with their eyes.

Hey Gang, Just a quick word to thank everyone for their good wishes for my recovery. I'm in great shape. The stitiches are out and the hand is functioning just fine. I still have to watch what I do with it (no laughing here), but the boys are helpiing me out by carrying most of the gear. I'm able to play trumpet, but the congas are out for good. We can still rock though so I'll see you all at the gig soon.
Sunday, January 14th, 2007 9:29 AM EST
I just want to that all our friends who came out to DellaPolla's Friday night. We had a great night thanks to you. See you all soon.
Saturday, January 6th, 2007 12:55 PM EST
Happy New Year everyone! I hope that your holiday was everything you wanted it to be. The boys and I were at the Trump Marina playing for 1100 partying folks. It was a great way to bring in the new year. Sorry for those of you that wanted to come and party with us as this was a private party hosted by the casino. The new news is that I have to get a bit of a repair on my hand. I injured it playing this summer at the Ego lounge, so we will be off for the next few weeks. I must add though, that it is getting harder for us to continue in some of our favorite lounges due to new poilicies and increased competition. If you favor seeing us in a particular lounge it would help immensely to get in touch with the entertainment department or the marketing department of that particular casino and stress your preferences. As always your support is paramount to our success. Coming to see us and bringing new people to meet us is the best advertisement we could have. Looking forward to seeing you all in 2007.

It was an amazing night! Full of laughter and sadness, a full range of emotion and a party of the likes that may not be seen again in AC for some time. I'm talking of the closing of the Sands and particularly last Friday night in the Swinger's Lounge. A lounge that we had occasion to open a few years ago and also had the good fortune to be the house band for many months along with our good friends from "Bandstand". Almost everyone made it out to say goodbye. I couldn't believe the scene from my vantagepoint above the bar. I saw so many friendly faces, people we met over the years at the Sands. It was awesome!!! Only the boys from Bandstand were absent, to make the night a perfect event. It was fitting that we were on stage at the final bell. The boys and I want to thank all the folks who came to see us and say goodbye to a great old casino. We will miss you.

WEB SERVER DOWN

Just a quick note to all of you who found it difficult to get into the site over the past few days. The main server hosting my site was down and when the folks at Hostbaby got it back up and running, it was restarted back to August 25th. That means that any guestbook entries after that date were lost. Also my calendar waslost as well, but I have since fixed that problem. Sorry for any confusion.

Hey Everyone.....thought it was time for an update. We have been hanging out in Ego at the Taj Mahal for the entire summer. Wow, what a blast. The band is really smokin'....the dance music doesn't stop. We are extended through September, so for those of you who haven't seen us yet, get your a-- in the club. Oh, by the way, thank you to all of the great friends that have made the scene throughout the summer and supported us in the new club. It has really been a whirlwind summer. Even though we are exhausted, I don't think any one of us would have traded the experience. The boys were rockin' and working with Gina Roche was an absolute gas. It's not over yet though, so come out to the club....Ego, at the Taj Mahal through September. See ya there.
Wednesday, July 5th, 2006 12:55 PM EDT
Hey Everybody, I just got word that the casinos are closing down for two days due to the ineffectiveness of our state politicians to get their jobs done correctly. However, the band and I can use the time off to rest up a bit. It has been a whirlwind getting things together to open the new lounge at the Taj Mahal, which, by the way, is the most happenin place in town. Right out of the old Vegas mold. I absolutely love it!!!!! I don't think you'll recognize the boys and we also have the lovely Gina Roche on stage as well.
It is truely something you should all check out. We will be rockin the joint all summer. Please come in and see us.
Sunday, June 25th, 2006 4:06 PM EDT
Just a quick note to tell you all that last night was the final night for us at the Swinger's Lounge. It has been an awesome three year run and during that time we have made many friends among the employees and staff of the Sands. We cannnot express what that friendship has meant to us on all those many nights. We will sorely miss all of you especially those special folks that have been in the trenches with us while we rocked. To Ray, Tino, Norm, Manny, Beth and the rest of the bartenders and waitresses whithout whom we wouldn't have had such a long and successful run. Let us not forget the technical crew, Michael, Rick, Bob and the rest who did their absolute best to make our performance a success every night. We will always hold a special place in our hearts for the Sands. "Last call for alcohol" Hope you guys will come and have a drink with us at the Taj.

Hi Everyone! It's been awhile. I've been told to get some new news on the site, so here goes........I have to say from the start that the folks from Ridley Park are the best!!!!! I can't tell you how great it was to see everyone at Della Polla's on Friday night. For those of you that aren't from Ridley, the bar is up the street from our old home....Virgo's. Carmine, June and the Della Polla's gang are nice folks and we appreciate having a place in Ridley Park to see all of our friends once again. But i have to tell you......George, Eve, and the entire Virgo's gang took over the place and tuned it into Virgoville for the night. It was packed and jammin! The boys and I felt much love, we miss you guys terribly. Oh, and thanks to George and Eve and the rest of the folks who made it to the Bikini Bar for a great day in the sun Memorial Day Sunday. Even the Chief was dancin' his butt off. I love it and I truly appreciate your friendship. Before i forget, a special thanks goes out to the RidleyRaider for the bottle of mescal. She certainly got the party rollin in a big, big way. Thanks to you all for an unforgettable night. We might be back on the 24th of June, so let's do it again. Keep you eyes on the calendar.
Saturday, April 22nd, 2006 11:31 AM EDT
Hey Everybody.......I'm very sad at this writing. Virgos is no more. I can't begin to describe the feeling I had as I left the club for the very last time last Friday night. Needless to say it was a great time. We partied hard and everyone we cared about made the scene. Plenty of tequila was flowing, DJ doug was jammin, and the boys were dancing their butts off. (Yes, I said the BOYS were dancing!) It was quite a sight. We had Ray up to jam and Ken, (who supplied the good tequila...thanks buddy!), got behind the kit and provided a steady groove while Frankie came out of the closet as frontman. A true blast! Thanks to Mike and Julie for keeping me company while I Redbulled myself enough to get home. Would you say I had a good time? I will sorely miss what has become a home away from home for us. We rocked hard and made some lifelong friends. I hope we will see you all in AC this summer in our new home at the Taj Mahal. Lastly, I want to thank Geroge and Eve for always treating us like family. You two have made us feel very special. I wish nothing but good things for you both in the future. It is still hard for me to believe that you kept us around for going on FIVE YEARS. Thanks Coach for finding me the best place to play....EVER!
Monday, April 10th, 2006 10:47 AM EDT
Hey kids, what's shakin? I've got some interesting news. I've been sitting on this for sometime, but now it's official. The boys and I are forming a brand new band to open a new lounge in AC. We will be the core, but we need some other players as well. Without being prejudiced, we are looking for some hot, young players that haven't been on the AC scene. if you guys know of anyone that can play a mean bass, or sax, please shoot me an email on this site and turn me on. In addition we will need a new name for this band. Any ideas from anyone?
Monday, April 3rd, 2006 12:05 PM EDT
Hi everyone. The boys and I what to appologize to all of you who came out to see us for the past two Saturday nights. Due to some unavoidable circumstaces we were not able to provide you with entertainment and for that we are very sorry. I do want to let you know how much we appreciate your continued support and promise to give you the best of ourselves the next time around.
Wednesday, March 1st, 2006 10:30 AM EST
Well.......all I can say is, thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you who came out to the Borgata last night. The boys and I really appreciate it. It was a wondeful night with a great audience. I can't imagine we could do any better on a weeknight in February and it was because of all of our friends responding to my shameless begging. (If I beg for college money will that work as well? Just kidding!) See all of you soon. You are the very best!
Sunday, January 8th, 2006 5:55 AM EST
Well.........what a night it was.......I now have enough tequila to last until next year. Yep! it's that time of year again. My birthday. The beautiful folks at Virgos wouldn't let me forget it either. Thanks so much to George, Eve and the gang. I have never felt so appreciated as I do each time the boys and I perform there. It's like being with the family. Truly! There are not enough words to express what I'm feeling, so I'll just say thank you from the top, middle , and bottom of my heart. I was raised in Philly, so Virgos feels like home to me. Thanks again everyone, the gifts were more than fine. A special thanks to Dave and Toni Feldbaum. We all should be as full of fun. May you continue to dance and play. I can't wait to see the pics. Happy New Year! Come and see us soon.
Monday, December 5th, 2005 9:58 AM EST
Hey folks!!! what a great time at Virgos on Friday nite. It was a nite of birthdays. Moon turned the big 50, Dave turned the big 70, and Deb....well, we never reveal a womans age, but she looks great whatever it is! Of course we partied and rocked and watched Dave take his pants down. The man never ceases to surprise. All in good fun, of course. We will sorely miss this place when it closes sometime in April. Until then, to all the great Virgo's people and especially George and Eve (you guys are the best), and to all the rest of our friends and fans, Merry Xmas! Stay safe and we'll party on in the new year.
Friday, September 30th, 2005 4:10 PM EDT
Hi guys,
The boys and I just got back from the Mohegan Sun. What can I say. The Wolf Den is just a fantastic place to play. I especially want to thank Eva and Donna who came all the way from Ridley Park to see us as well as our friends from the Toms River area, Sue, Penny and Betty. It was such a surprise to see you guys. I can't tell you how much it meant to us that you came all that way. i hope it was worth the trip. We will see you all very soon at Virgos and Christophers.
Wednesday, September 7th, 2005 10:50 AM EDT
Hello everyone! Haven't written any news for some time. I thought I would give you all a summer update. We had a great summer. Every weekend at the Sands and every Sunday at the fabulous Bikini Bar at Ballys. Lots of hard rockin! We had two funkin times with the horn band at the Bikini Bar as well. July 4th weekend and just this past Labor Day weekend. The band sounded great. We have some recordings that we will put together soon as well as some video. If anyone knows a good webmaster that knows the html code, I would appreciate an email. I would love to get this stuff uploaded to the website. Thanks to all the folks who supported us throughout the summer at both venues.
We met a lot of new people as well. Special thanks to the Virgos gang for making the run down. Thanks as well to Jazzy and Patty for the Beach Bar pics. More thanks to Chris Pappas for giving us a new place to play in Toms River (we will be back doing Thursdays starting in October). We won't be doing the Sands as much anymore because of policy changes (thanks Terry for a great run), but I need to acknowledge the great flair bartenders that we enjoyed working with so much for the past two years (special thanks to Ray, Norm, and Tino, and everyone else who tended during our performances and also Beth (who?), India, etc.). You guys made every night worth it. Special thanks as well to Michael, Rick, and Bob for their exceptional technical efforts under plenty of duress. We had some tough moments, but you guys kept us in the game. It was a pleasure to work with you. I can't forget all the wonderful people who work at the Sands in all capacities, that went out of their way to say hello each night and to tell me how much they enjoyed our performances. It means more than you know.
Now to acknowledge our friends at the Bikini Bar. First and foremost, Bruce (sound tech extrordinaire), thanks for giving us such a great sound. We look forward to rocking every Sunday. Of course the staff at the Beach is the best. Thanks to all the managers who couldn't have been nicer or more supportive to us and all the gorgeous waitresses who made it pleasure to come to play. Last, but not in the very least, the tremendous bartending crew,
Barb, Rich, Jen (forever more known as Boom-Boom), Bam-Bam (forever more known as Mary), Al and all the rest of you guys, thanks for a great summer. We look forward to next year. However, we are still hanging out every Sunday until the end of September. If I forgot anyone, please forgive me. You are all so very important to us. Oh yeah, I did forget something......a big thanks to the Sons for effort, expertise, excitment, and some unforgettable musical moments. We rock on!!!!!
Thursday, June 16th, 2005 1:00 AM EDT
Hey everyone! I haven't put out any news for some time. Just thought I'd wish everybody a great summer. We will be hanging out at the Sands in the Swinger's Lounge on Fridays and Saturdays as well as the Beach Bar at Bally's every Sunday afternoon. Please come down to see us.
Wednesday, April 13th, 2005 10:37 AM EDT
Hey everyone. Just a note to appologize to George for blowing the surprise for Kim's birthday party at Virgos. I inadvertantly put it on the web site as a private party. Duh! Hope Kim enjoyed it anyway. See you guys next month Oh and before I forget....we will be on the beach again this year at Bally's Bikini Bar. Every Sunday, starting June 12th, 3pm. It was a blast last year, so come on out and party with us all summer.
Monday, January 10th, 2005 12:32 PM EST
Hey I almost forgot! We had a great time this past weekend at Virgos. Everybody came out to party and celebrate my birthday. We drank some good tequila,( thanks George and Eve!), ate wonderful chocolate cake, (thanks Dave and Toni), and we rocked hard. It was a fabulous night. See you guys there on Feb. 11.
Monday, January 10th, 2005 12:26 PM EST
Happy New Year Everyone! Hope you all had a great holiday. The boys and I were off on a Xmas vacation until New Years Eve. We did a big party at Bally's and then came back to my house for eggs benedict and champagne. That's the way to start the year! By the way, our first gig of 2005 was really cool. We worked with Dan Aykroyd at the press party for the new House of Blues being built in Atlantic City. He got up on stage with us and sang and Albert King tune called the "Killing Floor". I'll be uploading a picture of he and I dancing together. It was a blast and we got great press coverage. Another great way to start the year. Come and party with us at Harrah's or the Sands as soon as you can. We'll see ya there!
Sunday, December 5th, 2004 10:00 AM EST
Hello again everyone! Hope you all had a great Turkeyday. I must have gained five pounds. Couldn't go by the kitchen without stealing another piece of pumpkin pie. Just wanted to wish you all the happiest of holiday seasons. We'll be doing our third year at Bally's for NYEve. As of the first of the year we'll be spending most of our time at the Sands in the Swinger's Lounge, so come on out. Oh, and don't forget the first Friday of every month (except Feb, which will be the second Friday), we'll be at our favorite hang, VIRGOS. Come out and party with George, Eve and the rest of the gang! Merry Xmas!!!!!
Saturday, October 30th, 2004 10:19 AM EDT
Hey Everybody, just got back from the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut. What a great venue. Playing in the Wolf Den is like being in concert. We want to thank all the very cool people we met this time in. Also a very large thank you to ruich and Karen for coming in two nights and bringing new family members for us to meet. (Good luck with the baby). I'm not forgetting some of the other folks that came back to see us more than one night. It is such a boost to see you and have you applauding the guys. Speaking of the guys, they all played their (you know what) off. It was a very musical experience. Thanks also go out to the great tech crew (Gino, Kevin, Peter, Ray and the rest of the guys). You made us very comfortable as always. See you in November.
Tuesday, October 12th, 2004 8:49 AM EDT
Do it yourself for dummies! While working on a project at my home, I sliced into my right hand and needed three stitches. I can't play congas for a week or so, but thanks to the girls, Mary and Jen, at Atlantic City Medical Center, Mainland Emergency, they got me on the fast track and sewn up in no time. Thanks guys, I'm feelin pretty good. Come and see the band soon.
Sunday, September 26th, 2004 2:32 AM EDT
One quick note. As we were leaving Swingers tonight, Bryant was cut on the leg by a bottle he was tossing while flaring. Just want you to know we are thinking of you, bud. hope you are feeling better. It would't be the same without you!
Sunday, September 26th, 2004 2:25 AM EDT
I have to make an updated entry. I just got back from working Swingers lounge in the Sands Casino, where I was admonished by our good buddy Ray, he's one of the excellent flair bartenders at the Swingers, along with Norm, Bryant, and Scotty, (and we can't forget our favorite cocktail waitress Elizabeth), for just casually mentionaing Swingers when I gave the Bikini Bar at Bally's such a rave. Sorry fellas, no dis intended. (If only you guys could look that good in a bikini). Seriously, you guys were the reason it was fun to work the late shift at the Sands. For those of you that don't know, we worked until 4am on the weekends at the Sands and Ray and the boys were flairing strong. We even had them singing in chorus with us everytime we played Funky Stuff. The bar patrons loved it! So did we. Thanks for a great time this summer guys, and Ray, thanks for the beads!!!
P.S. Norm, thanks for the Outcast.
Friday, September 17th, 2004 1:21 PM EDT
Hello everybody! I haven't updated things for awhile. It's been a long summer. We worked an awful lot, but I'm not complaining. The best gig of the summer was at Bally's Bikini Beach Bar every Sunday. What a blast. We really had a chance to rock hard and meet alot of cool people. The bikinis were not bad either. Time to go back to Harrah's in October (15 & 16) and we'll be working the Sands Swinger's Lounge as well. We are getting ready to go back to one of our favorite places, the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, in October (26,27,28). One of the best places I've ever performed. Oh, I can't forget another favorite place of ours, Virgos in Ridley Twp., PA. Some of the best folks on the planet party there. Say hello to George and Eve, the owners, when you come in, they are the best. Come on out and see us soon anywhere you can. We'll be looking for ya!
Saturday, June 26th, 2004 12:02 PM EDT
