Dane Anthony Dane Anthony grew up in Philadelphia, but began his career as a tap dancing skunk in Bethlehem, Pa. at the tender age of three and appeared on Tony Grant's stars of Tomorrow Show. The show presented at the once famous Steel Pier in Atlantic City, gave talented children a great opportunity. I tried my hand at acting, an active participant in many of my high school's productions. I also started playing the trumpet in school band, but my first love was still singing. So, I began to study in ernest and took some vocal training with David Sorin Collyer, a vocal specialist at Cornell University, who became known for developing a cleft-palate exercise into a vocal technique. Bette Midler and Paul Simon are just two of the famous singers who studied under Collyer. Frank Capelli, of Philadelphia fame, who is known for his operatic coaching was my next teacher. I also studied with Al Stauffer, the well-known jazz bassist from Philadelphia to help develope my "ear". I was working as a singing bartender at a place called "Fingers", when I was encouraged to enter the Smart Alex's Singing Bartender Contest. I did and I won and then won again the next year. My singing career was off and running. I auditioned for a job at the Warwick Hotel in philadelphia and got the job singing jazz in a club called the Brassiere. It was my first professional gig. From there it was a move to Atlantic City and the casino lounges, where Top 40, Pop, and Rock & Roll ruled the day. I've since worked in almost every casino lounge in the city, done stage shows like the Basin Street Follies and Shaboom (check the link), TV (see Friends link), and had bands of all sizes and configurations, such as the 9 piece big band (check the MP3's) and the five piece R&B, funk, Rock & Roll unit I am part of this minute (see the bios of the guys and listen to more MP3's). it's been quite a ride and it still feels as if it's only beginning.
Bob Coulon Keyboards and left-hand bass, background vocals. Bob and I have been together the longest, almost twelve years. He also does sound for us when we need it, writes out charts for the guys if they need it. We have played together as a duo, just he and I, and also with our eight piece big band. He has the "fattest" left hand around, no one knows there is no live bass player. This is a rare ability. He is an indispensible part of our unit. Hailing out of the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia. While attending Temple University, College of Music, he also studied with Jimmie Amadie then hit the road traveling with a show-band and review, "Coast to Coast" for seven years. His travels landed him in Atlantic City where I started free lancing until the music scene nearly dried up. January 1992 he started working with the "Sons of Thunder".
Frank Maione Drums and vocals. Frank also plays piano and percussion, but doesn't have
much opportunity to do it with our band (I play most of the percussion). He
has been with me the next longest at about 8 years. He can drum in all
styles equally well, and has a great way of listening to the vocalist sing
and then play a groove that suits the singer, a rare talent in a drummer.
Frank has a BA in Music Education from Glassboro St Col - 1991. He
performed with the Bridgeton Symphony for 2 years, playing mallet
percussion. Other bands that Frank has worked with are John Ciotta &
Justus, Thriller, Rocco Sisters, Banshee, Mr. Pink, Crowdburst and local
sub work for other bands in the Philadelphia and Atlantic City area. Frank
also provides private student instruction, teaching piano and drums. He
also owns and operates a recording studio (Copper Ridge Studio). Visit

Rick Trahan Rick is a Lousiana boy, born and bred and he plays with the soul that can't be learned with guitar lessons. People love to watch him play, he has great stage presence. He also sings background and on specific tunes, sings lead. He has a high, full, strong voice that can captivate an audience. -- I grew up on a farm in La. Playing guitar was my escape from the daily monotany of farm work. I would play till I fell asleep and the guitar would fall to the floor. I went to college briefly for Music theory and composition. But I really was too young and partied way to much so I decided not to waste that money and gain my experiance playing live. I've played zydeco, rock, blues, funk, and ocassionaly (some disco?) Erp!! I did a brief stint on the road which was fun for a while. And after many bands here I am. And I'm have'n fun too!! Well enough about me, how are you doin'?
